Hi~~🖐 How are you guys? Are you planning to come to Korea soon? If you are, welcome in advance!
These days, regulations about Corona virus are changing so fast! Literally it just changes overnight! Are they oatmeal or what?! Especially the ones who will soon be in Korea must be worried about these oatmealy regulations. For that I searched for the latest information. It turned out that there has been a few changes you should know for sure. In this article, I organized information step by step about “What procedure is taken to be in Korea”.
First, PCR test before you depart. Starting from January 20, 2022, you need PCR test within 48 hours before the departure date. It used to be within 72 days, but now shorter term is needed. What happens if you don’t submit the PCR negative certificate or a certificate doesn’t meet the requirement? Well you must be quarantined for five days at a facility designated by the government(fee: 120,000 won per day) and subsequently quarantine yourself for five days, according to the central disaster management headquarters. Of course, there are some exemptions. For exemptions please refer this article 👇
Second, transportation to your accommodation.
After your plane successfully land on Korea, there are 4 ways to get to your residence.
①your own car ②quarantine taxi (taxi only for people who have to get to quarantine residence ) ③designated shuttle bus ④designated KTX car
The timetable for option ③ is down below. Incheon airport provided timetable with Korean..(Really Incheon?) So I translated some words into English! Pls comment me if you need more translation!

The original one is down below!
You can check the original document from the Incheon airport website, which I will link down below!*
Unless it is Jeju island or so, where you have to go by plane, these four options are the only transportations for you.
Third.
Within 3 days of arrival, you need to have PCR test at the nearest center. To find nearest test center, I recommend this way. First, install kakao map or naver map. In the search box, enter “선별진료소”-(which refers test center for covid). Then you will be able to see test centers near you.
Fourth
The self quarantine period for all inbound travelers to Korea will be 7 days starting February 4th. (the quarantine is 10 days if you arrive before Feb 4th)
Update : no more quarantine starting April
Unless you are short term visitor, you can have quarantine at home. Even if you are short term visitor, if your immediate family is a Korean, you can do quarantine at home.
During your quarantine, you will be guided to download “Self diagnosis” application and submit your condition twice a day. You might get a kakao talk message and call from the local administration.
Fifth
The day before the quarantine ends, you will have PCR test again. Once you turn out to be negative, you are freeeeeeeeeee!
With smelling the freedom, step out and enjoy your stay in Korea!
Again, Welcome to Korea!
